For the secret santa event, I had "Cripplez"... I had already decided on making a map and was just hoping for an interesting name to work with, and I got one. :) The map was deleted right away, probably for being offensive or something...

1055478 - december single ground


My final contest map. I was debating whether to make this longer or have a trickier pattern, but I decided to stick to the fun but easy theme. We'll see how well it does in the voting.

They added a new "invisible barrier" behind the chat that interacts with mice... and clouds. And I use cloud mechanisms in most of my new maps, so they're all broken, and they've taken a hit voting-wise. Hopefully it gets fixed before they all die.

Pushing the button causes both blocks to move.

Same issue as with the previous map, but it's a little more forgiving since the block falls here.

Pushing a button will cause the block to move up, over, and back down. Unfortunately it's a bit sync-dependent, some mice can fall through...

907559 - wires button up lifts


Pushing the buttons will cause the blocks to go up temporarily.

907522 - wires gate


The shaman has the opportunity to really troll mice here.

Like Map 2 Castle but the shaman has a bit more control.

874526 - one way elevator


One set of elevators goes up and the other goes down. It's a bit glitchy, mice sometimes die randomly, but I think it's a cool effect. I made a second map (@909606) that's the same except for mouse/cheese/hole positions, so mice have to ride each elevator twice.

Neither of these puzzles are perfect, blocks can get stuck on top of each other, etc., but these maps don't survive anyway, so whatever...

Some new updates: I fixed the shifter, made an xml guide and added a post with pictures of all of my maps. I also tried adding a search bar but then the shifter stopped working. I'll try to figure out what's wrong there. Update: Both search and shifting should work now.

I made a new version of long road 2 with the shaman below, but I guess it was still a lot of wall jumping. I might redo some of the wire maps, make them a little easier and shorter. And I still have a few more maps planned in this style.

I made a tribe house for map testing, since it costs nothing to change. I exported one way elevators five times and still wasn't happy with it... Thanks to Varga, Ssk, Bug for helping me get a nice number.

Map Pictures

Here the buttons can only be pushed in one direction. The button on bottom will raise the block and the button on top will lower it again.

The doors go up or down depending on which direction the button is pressed.

The same mechanics as the previous map. I really like this reloading button thing, and have a few more maps planned...

Mice push the button one direction to raise the block and the other to lower it.

The blocks here will only go one direction before "teleporting" back to the other side. The first version I made (842125) was broken for non-sync mice--the top block would jump to different places instead of moving smoothly. I kept it just because it was a cool effect.

The map shifter/flipper should work now... Here mice push buttons to make the blocks slide back and forth.

The first button drops the left half of the blocks, and the second button raises them up again.

838300 - wires fall and door trap


The first button lowers the bridge, and the second raises the block, trapping afk mice.

838134 - wires fall then rise trap


The first button drops the blocks, and the second raises them back up.

837820 - wires rope bridge


The button will cause the rope bridge to rise up in defiance of physics...

836321 - wires ball and lift


The left button does the ball bounce thing, and the right one does a continual lift.

836134 - wires double lifts


Each map takes me about an hour to make... Both buttons cause lifts to go up and down continually.

XML Guide

I use the in-game editor plus a text file to make maps, so I end up messing around with the XML a lot. I thought I'd make a post explaining it. Updated March 2012.

833953 - wires rise then rise


The first button raises up the bridge and the second one raises it up some more.

833880 - wires fall then rise


The first trigger lowers the bridge and the second one raises it up again.

832811 - wires explode then rise


The first button explodes the bridge and the second one lifts up a new one.

832399 - wires double rise


Both buttons cause blocks to rise up. Mice must hurry out after hitting the buttons or they'll get trapped.

832053 - wires explode then explode


Mice must explode the first block before they can set off the second one.

831789 - wires double explode


The first of 18 or so "wire" maps. These are mostly updates of old maps or parts of them, exploding traps and bridges, most of which don't work anymore. I wanted to update the original design where mice stood on buttons, and I thought this idea where mice push blocks would work well. I also tried to avoid using shaman objects (anvils) and IF (since blocks at limbo are ugly)... In this map, the buttons trigger the grounds to explode.
